Electrical Testing - The PEC target tester is designed for automating the different short electrical tests in the test lab, such as OCV, CCV, Flash Amperage and Impedance tests. These tests are typically performed on cells before life testing. Target testing also helps you monitor cell behaviour in ageing processes.

The system includes a test tray, which can be loaded in the target test unit. The Target Tester will automatically perform the configured tests on each tray location, and will store the desired measurement points.

The tray-capacity is 96 cylindrical cells. The different types are AAA, AA, C and D-size cells. The tray bottom has an opening at each cell-position. This way the tester is able to connect both terminals with the test probes.

The test parameters are defined in the test regime, and are the same for all cells in the tray. The operator starts the test by placing the tray in the target tester and closing the safety door.

During the test, the results are shown on the operator panel, for information purposes. When the test is finished the results are uploaded to the central database, where they are available for further reporting.

After the test, the operator removes the tray and returns the tray to the right location.
