Manager Firmware Development
Job description:
You will lead an international team of strong technical contributors and manage the development of embedded software code for our test, formation and grading equipment for energy storage devices, like batteries or ultra-caps..
Your responsibilities:
- Participate in the customer design reviews and tradeoff processes and ensure that the project complies with performance and cost goals
- Define the firmware architecture for new product developments in correspondence with project/business needs
- Work with your team of firmware developers to meet scheduled milestones
- See to a correct use of formal development methods and application of best practices
- Manage the activities related to the analysis, design, programming, debugging, qualification, release testing, troubleshooting and bug-fixing of firmware
- Provide technical guidance and organize documentation including software user guides and release notes
- Investigate new technologies, tools, and practices that may potentially improve the product development
- Collaborate with the Hardware team to ensure that deliverables meet the product requirements
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- At least 5 years experience with firmware development, software/ hardware debugging, microprocessors/ microcontrollers and version control tools
- Proficient in C-language programming • Strong team player with good communication and leadership skills
- Organized, accurate, able to execute and deliver against tight time schedules
- Self motivated professional with strong analytical and problem solving skills
